Vanbrugh Castle School

Some items were relocated to the Duke of Kent School when Vanbrugh Castle School closed in 1975

The brass plaque used to be affixed to the wall of the entrance hall in the castle. It commemorates Alexander Duckam's daughter.

This oak table used to be in the main recreation room (Gibson) at VCS. It was used for formal things like letter writing but was sometimes used to slide along. The three support legs wobbled quite a bit. Later Webb-Jones decided that the boy's dining room ought to be more like a that of a public school and this table was moved there to become the 'top table'. The wide crack which stretched along its length was filled with plastic wood to stop crumbs getting in.
